Dimension4 has introduced and migrated over to our new Client Portal, which will add new features for clients to manage their account and services and will replace our old billing system.  Over the coming weeks and months, more features will continue to be added to the portal.  Currently, as of this article, clients can easily monitor bandwidth usage and remotely power servers (reboot) from one easy location rather than having yet another interface to log into.  Soon we will be adding automatic rDNS control, allowing clients to manage their own reverse DNS in the portal.  More to come on the features soon. We are ever so close to releasing our Cloud Server and VPS hosting packages.  Virtualization in the server industry continues to bring new levels of efficiency and scaling to many networks and datacenters.  What used to take up racks upon racks in a datacenter can now often fit in much less space, and consume much less power.  Certainly vitualization is not for every application, but many applications have proven to benefit greatly from being hosted on a virtualized environment.  Efficiency, flexibility, and certainly reliability have reached new levels with this new technology.

Dimension4’s cloud server hosting and VPS options will prove to provide the best of both worlds, the power of dedicated servers with the flexibility and reliability of a cloud.  We certainly look forward to our official release of these options in the upcoming weeks, and we know our customers will find it as a welcomed addition to our services.

At a time when many aspects of our economy are struggling, many dedicated server providers are seeing different trends arise as the needs in our marketplace change.  Many of our customers come from companies outsourcing servers rather than to try and manage servers themselves or to try to run their own datacenter.  Datacenter and IT personnel expenses are one area where many businesses are finding themselves having to make major cutbacks.  Companies are quickly discovering the value and advantages of outsourcing their IT and server needs.  Not only does this save a lot of money on the bottom line, but if done with a reputable provider the reliability can be much better without all of the headache involved with trying to run and manage your own servers.

One thing I am proud of with Dimension4 Networks, which derives all the way back to UltraiHost and even The Micro Mart, we have always invested back into the business to bring new and better services to our customers.  Recently, Dimension4 Networks has been fortunate enough to experience nice growth in our dedicated server customer base.  Once we setup our new network and unveiled our newest dedicated server lineup, we were flooded with orders.  In a time when many companies are struggling to make ends meet and in the midst of layoffs, we find ourselves very fortunate to have been going through our largest expansion phase we have ever experienced.  I truly feel we have some of the best customers in the dedicated server industry, and we thank each and every one of you for your continued loyalty to Dimension4.
